Grindmate ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Grindmate: Personal Assistant mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data.
Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use our app:
- Name and Email — collected via Sign in with Apple for account creation
- Calendar Data — read from your Apple Calendar to show your schedule (stored on device only)
- Reminders — read from Apple Reminders to help you stay organized (stored on device only)
- Location — optional, used only for location-based reminders you set
- Tasks — tasks you create are stored locally on your device and synced to iCloud
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the Grindmate personal assistant experience
- To sync your data across your devices via iCloud
- To send push notifications and reminders you request
- To power AI responses via Anthropic's Claude API (your task context is sent to generate responses)
Data Storage
All personal data is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to your personal iCloud account. We do not store your personal data on our servers.
Third Party Services
We Do Not
- Sell your personal data to third parties
- Use your data for advertising
- Store payment information (Apple handles all payments)
Data Deletion
You can delete all your data at any time from Settings → Delete My Data inside the app. You may also contact us at grindmate@gmail.com to request data deletion.
Children's Privacy
Our app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
